MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621071233 A) filed by Gokul Global University on June 08, 2026, for Sprocket Disc Manufacturing System.
Inventor includes Dr. Dilipkumar S. Patel.
The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: A sprocket disc manufacturing system, comprises of a housing 101 positioned over a ground surface, a circular plate 102 to receive a circular metal disc, an imaging unit 104 to captures multiple images of the plate 102, wherein an inbuilt microcontroller works in sync with the processor to determine presence of metal disc over the plate 102, based on which the microcontroller actuates a plurality of motorized suction units 105 to create vacuum pressure to securely grip the disc, a motorized drilling unit 106 via an articulated arm 107, to form a plurality of holes on the disc, a motorized grinder 108 to smooth edges and remove surface irregularities of the disc, and a motorized cutting blade 113 to trim an outer peripheral portion of the disc to form a sprocket profile, thus manufacturing sprocket disc.
