Abstract: A spring brake actuator (500) for a vehicle (1000) is disclosed. The spring brake actuator comprises a cylindrical housing (100) having an outer cylinder (100a) and an inner cylinder (100b) arranged concentric to the outer cylinder. A space defined between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder defines a parking brake chamber (110) and inner region of the inner cylinder defines a spring chamber (120) and a service brake chamber (130). There is a compression spring (140) disposed in the spring chamber, a first parking brake piston (150) and a second parking brake piston (160) arranged telescopically and a service brake piston (170) stacked adjacent to the second parking brake piston. The spring brake actuator of the present disclosure is compact in size with reduction in overall length and overall width. Fig. 2.
