Abstract: ABSTRACT SPRING-ASSISTED SUSTAINABLE PVC INTEGRATED ERGONOMIC LOAD CARRYING DEVICE The present disclosure relates to a spring- assisted ergonomic load carrying device (100) for supporting manual transportation of loads. The device (100) comprises a waist support assembly (102) having a belt member (102a), an upper load supporting frame (104) having a load-receiving platform (104a), and at least four vertical support members (106) extending there between. A spring assembly (108) is disposed within each vertical support member (106) for absorbing shocks and vibrations generated during movement. Each vertical support member (106) comprises a hollow PVC pipe (114) housing a helical compression spring (116). A harness assembly (112) having shoulder straps (112a) and fasteners (112b) stabilizes the device (100) relative to a user. Metallic holders (118) connect the vertical support members (106) to the waist support assembly (102). The device (100) redistributes the load towards the waist region, thereby reducing direct loading on head, neck, shoulders, and spinal column during manual load transportation.
