Abstract: The present disclosure provides a split sintered bush. The split sinter bush 100 includes an inner segment 102 and an outer segment 104. The inner segment 102 formed from a first composition, configured to provide lubrication and enhanced wear resistance at a shaft interaction zone of a rotating shaft in a mechanical assembly. Further, the outer segment 104 formed from a second composition, configured to provide structural strength and facilitate heat dissipation in the mechanical assembly. Furthermore, the inner segment 102 and outer segment 104 are separately sintered and subsequently joined by at least one process (i.e. a press-fitting process) to form the split sintered bush 100.
