Abstract: The present invention relates to a spill-resistant spirit lamp comprising a housing (112), a wick assembly (110), and a removable fuel-retaining cartridge (106) having a porous fuel-retaining body for retaining combustible liquid. A docking assembly (102) mechanically secures the cartridge (106) in an operating position therein. A capillary contact pad (104) establishes capillary communication between the cartridge (106) and the wick assembly (110) only upon full engagement of the cartridge (106), restricting unintended fuel transfer during insertion, partial engagement, or removal. A passive fuel-regulating layer (105) regulates fuel delivery, while a capillary fuel transport region (107) conveys fuel from a spill-resistant fuel containment region (108). The lamp further includes a flame enclosure (101), ignition mechanism (109), extinguishing cap (111), supporting base (113), cartridge support frame (114), and retaining sleeve (115).
