MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641050149 A) filed by K. Ramakrishnan College Of Engineering on April 20, 2026, for Spider Arm Weed Cutter With Vacuum Suction.
Inventors include Manojj B R; Mohammed Shafi S; Dineshkumar N; Silambu K; Santhosh Kumar P C; and Ravi Chandran M.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: SPIDER ARM WEED CUTTER WITH VACUUM SUCTION The system includes a plurality of interconnected components such as Upper Leg Link (1), Top Joint (2), Support Arm (3), Leg Base Joint (4), Hub Connector Arm (5), Knee Joint (6), Lower Leg Link (7), Cleaning Claw I Foot (8), Central Hub Plate (9), Hub Neck (1 0), Cyclone Separator Unit (II), and Dust Storage Chamber (12). These components are arranged to provide coordinated mechanical movement and effective dust collection. In operation the articulated link structure formed by the Upper Leg Link (1), Top Joint (2), Support Arm (3), Leg Base Joint (4), Knee Joint (6), and Lower Leg Link (7) allows controlled movement of the Cleaning Claw I Foot (8) across the surface. The cleaning claw collects dust and debris while the central structural support provided by the Central Hub Plate (9) and Hub Connector Arm (5) maintains stability of the system. The collected dust and air mixture moves through the Hub Neck ( l 0) into the Cyclone Separator Unit (11) where rotational air movement separates heavier dust particles from the airflow. The separated dust is then collected and stored in the Dust Storage Chamber (I 2) for later removal. Thus the coordinated arrangement of Upper Leg Link (1), Top Joint (2), Support Arm (3), Leg Base Joint (4), Hub Connector Arm (5), Knee Joint (6), Lower Leg Link (7), Cleaning Claw I Foot (8), Central Hub Plate (9), Hub Neck (10), Cyclone Separator Unit (11), and Dust Storage Chamber (12) provides an effective mechanical cleaning and dust collection system suitable for improving surface cleanliness and reducing manual cleaning effort.
