The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to SpendSense, a personalized financial literacy and budgeting platform for improving financial decision-making. The platform is configured to record financial transactions together with user-selected emotional-state information and to analyze the resulting emotion-tagged transaction data for identifying behavioral spending patterns. The platform comprises an expense capture module, a mood-analysis module, a behavioral intervention module, an expenditure-pattern analysis module, a savings and investment recommendation module, a financial-goal simulation module, and a behavioral reinforcement module. The platform detects repeated emotionally influenced spending within a predefined period and generates a behavioral prompt in response thereto. It further identifies recurring expenditure categories, estimates potentially recoverable expenditure, converts discretionary spending into suggested savings or investment contributions, and projects future financial outcomes. The platform additionally determines an effect of selected expenditures on achievement of user-defined financial goals and presents corresponding alternative completion trajectories. Personalized budgeting modes, financial-literacy content, challenges, experience values, levels, and badges may be used to reinforce improved financial behavior. Subsequent transaction and emotional-state data are processed to update recommendations, interventions, expenditure patterns, and financial projections, thereby providing a personalized behavioral-finance feedback loop for improving user financial awareness, budgeting, and decision- making.
