Abstract: The present invention relates to a speed-responsive actuating spoiler system designed for sedan vehicles to enhance aerodynamic performance, stability, and braking efficiency. The system dynamically adjusts the spoiler position based on vehicle speed and driving conditions using a microcontroller-controlled linear actuator. At higher speeds, the spoiler is deployed at positive angles to generate increased downforce, thereby improving vehicle stability and control during high-speed maneuvers such as lane changes. During braking conditions, the spoiler is actuated to negative angles in the range of 30° to 45°, inducing controlled flow separation and increasing the wake region behind the vehicle, which results in higher aerodynamic drag and assists in rapid deceleration, thereby reducing the load on conventional braking systems. The spoiler structure is designed using lightweight materials, including wood and composite elements, to achieve a high strength-to-weight ratio without compromising structural integrity under aerodynamic loads. By integrating adaptive aerodynamic control, aero-dynamic braking, and lightweight structural design into a single system, the proposed invention provides a cost-effective and efficient solution for improving both performance and safety in passenger vehicles.
