MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641113891 A) filed by Anurag University on September 23, 2026, for Speed Arresting At Horizontal Curves.
Inventors include Mr. B. Chandrasekhar Reddy; A. Nikhil Goud; D. Rahul; M. Ramesh; and S. Srihas.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a speed arresting system (100) for vehicles at horizontal road curves (102), comprising a speed sensing mechanism (104), a control unit (106), a warning indicator (108), and a speed control or braking mechanism (110). The speed sensing mechanism (104) detects a speed of an approaching vehicle (112) positioned before the horizontal road curve (102). The control unit (106) receives the detected speed and compares the detected speed with a predetermined speed threshold associated with the horizontal road curve (102). When the detected speed exceeds the predetermined speed threshold, the control unit (106) activates the warning indicator (108) to provide a warning signal and provides a control signal to the speed control or braking mechanism (110) for facilitating reduction of vehicle speed. The system (100) thereby provides an automated speed monitoring, warning, and speed-control arrangement for improving safety at horizontal road curves. The figure associated with abstract is Fig. 1.
