Abstract: A single-operator RVG sensor positioning device is disclosed, comprising three principal components: a stainless steel rubber dam clamp-based mount for intraoral anchorage, a malleable gooseneck arm of high plasticity and near-zero elastic shape memory that permanently retains any manually imparted bend without spring-back, and a sensor cradle at the distal end for securing the RVG sensor. The device is anchored intraorally by engaging the clamp base onto an appropriate tooth, following which the gooseneck arm is bent into the desired angulation and the RVG sensor is loaded into the cradle. This enables the clinician to independently position the X-ray tube head and activate the exposure switch without requiring a second operator to hold the sensor. All metal components are autoclavable and compatible with standard infection control protocols, while the RVG sensor is protected by a disposable plastic barrier sleeve in accordance with established radiographic hygiene practice. The device eliminates the need for a dental assistant during intraoral radiographic procedures, improves image reproducibility, and reduces patient radiation exposure time.
