Abstract: Abstract: The creation, named Solar Sync, is an Arduino-based automated solar panel positioning system that uses a Real-Time Clock (RTC) module in place of conventional light-dependent sensors. By pre-calculated solar angles correlated with time, the RTC provides accurate input to the Arduino microcontroller, which actuates a motorized mechanism to reorient the photovoltaic panel at periodic intervals throughout the day. The harvested electrical energy is conditioned through a DC–DC converter to maintain a regulated voltage for charging a rechargeable battery, which in turn caters power to external loads. This time-based approach enhances operational efficiency, eliminates sensitivity to environmental disturbances such as cloud cover or dust, and reduces maintenance needs. The overall design remains cost-effective, energy-efficient, and well-suited for small-scale photovoltaic installations, including residential rooftops and other standalone renewable energy applications.
