MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076902 A) filed by Mohan Babu University on June 22, 2026, for Solar Powered Thermoelectric Agricultural Drying System Using Peltier Modules With Intelligent Adaptive Environmental Control.
Inventors include Dr. R. L. Krupakaran; Dr. T. Hari Prasad; and Mr. M. Ravindra Reddy.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar-powered thermoelectric drying system (100) configured for sustainable and controlled drying of agricultural products. The system comprises a solar photovoltaic panel (102), charge controller (104), rechargeable battery unit (106), thermoelectric Peltier module (108), insulated drying chamber (110), airflow generation unit (112), environmental sensing unit (114), microcontroller unit (116), and display interface (118). Solar energy harvested by the photovoltaic panel is converted into electrical energy and utilized for powering the thermoelectric drying arrangement. The Peltier module generates controlled thermal energy for drying while airflow units circulate heated air inside the chamber to facilitate moisture removal. Temperature and humidity sensors continuously monitor environmental conditions, and the microcontroller dynamically regulates operation of the Peltier module and airflow units to maintain optimized drying conditions. The invention further incorporates adaptive power management and thermal balancing airflow distribution for improving drying uniformity, energy efficiency, and operational reliability in off-grid agricultural applications.
