Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar-powered smart mini cold storage system for fresh vegetables comprising an insulated storage chamber, a photovoltaic solar- energy assembly, a solar charge-control unit, a rechargeable energy-storage unit, a refrigeration assembly, temperature and humidity sensors, an air-circulation arrangement, a ventilation arrangement, and an intelligent control unit. The photovoltaic solar-energy assembly generates electrical energy for operating the refrigeration system and charging the rechargeable energy-storage unit. The intelligent control unit continuously monitors internal temperature, relative humidity, ambient conditions, solar-energy availability, battery state, and refrigeration operating conditions. Based on the monitored parameters and a selected vegetable-storage profile, the intelligent control unit dynamically controls refrigeration capacity, air circulation, ventilation, and energy utilization. The system can further include produce-condition sensors, energy monitoring, predictive control, remote monitoring, alerts, and vegetable-specific storage profiles. During periods of high solar availability, surplus energy can be stored or used for pre-cooling, while during low solar availability, essential cooling functions can be prioritized according to battery capacity. The system provides a decentralized, energy-efficient and intelligent solution for reducing post-harvest deterioration and preserving freshness of vegetables near agricultural production and collection locations.
