Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar powered oxygen depletion alert system with Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for continuously monitoring oxygen concentration in a confined or monitored environment and providing early warning of oxygen depletion. The system comprises a solar power generation unit, a rechargeable energy storage unit, a charge management circuit, at least one oxygen concentration sensing unit, a processing and control unit, a local alert unit, an IoT communication unit, and a remote monitoring interface. The oxygen concentration sensing unit continuously or periodically detects oxygen concentration and provides corresponding oxygen concentration data to the processing and control unit. The processing and control unit determines an oxygen depletion or impending oxygen depletion condition based on a predetermined oxygen threshold and/or a rate of decrease in oxygen concentration. Upon detection of the condition, the system activates an audible and/or visual local alert and transmits an oxygen depletion notification to a remote computing device or cloud platform through the loT communication unit. The system further monitors sensor status, solar charging status and battery condition and generates a fault notification upon detecting an abnormal operating condition.
