Abstract: ABSTRACT SOLAR POWERED BIO-FOGGING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATED PEST CONTROL The present invention relates to a smart, solar-powered, and IoT- enabled pest control and crop monitoring system designed for sustainable agricultural applications. The system integrates a photovoltaic solar panel, a power management unit comprising a charge controller, rechargeable battery, and voltage regulation module, and a microcontroller-based control unit with wireless communication capability. Environmental sensors including soil moisture, temperature, and humidity sensors continuously monitor field conditions and transmit real- time data to a cloud platform for remote access via mobile or web interfaces. The pest control mechanism includes an ultraviolet (UV) light source for attracting flying insects, a blower fan for directing insects into a trapping chamber, and an electric grid for eliminating the insects. Additionally, a bio-fogging unit disperses organic formulations in the form of fine mist to control leaf-based pests. A real-time clock (RTC) module enables automated operation of the fogging system at predefined intervals. The system operates autonomously using solar energy, eliminating dependence on external power sources. By integrating renewable energy, automated pest control, environmental monitoring, and IoT-based communication, the invention provides an efficient, eco-friendly, and intelligent solution for modern precision agriculture, reducing chemical pesticide usage and improving crop productivity.
