Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar-powered autonomous grass cutting robot for intelligent and energy-efficient lawn maintenance. The robot is designed to perform grass cutting with minimal human intervention. The system comprises an ESP32 controller, solar power module, rechargeable battery and sensing modules. A lawn mapping module learns and stores the boundary of the lawn for autonomous navigation. A grass-height sensor determines whether the grass requires cutting based on a predetermined condition. Ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles and assist in safe autonomous movement. Rain and tilt sensors monitor environmental and operating conditions during mowing. The controller continuously monitors battery status and mowing progress during operation. When a predetermined interruption condition occurs, the robot stores its current mowing progress as a checkpoint. The robot then autonomously returns to a docking station for solar-assisted battery charging. After charging or restoration of suitable operating conditions, the stored checkpoint is retrieved by the controller. The robot subsequently resumes the unfinished mowing operation from the stored checkpoint. The invention thereby provides efficient, safe, energy-conscious and continuous autonomous lawn maintenance.
