Abstract: The present invention relates to a solar-powered autonomous floating algae collection system for removing floating algae from lakes, ponds, reservoirs, irrigation canals, aquaculture farms, and other water bodies. The system comprises a floating platform supporting a solar photovoltaic power module, rechargeable battery, charge controller, embedded controller, propulsion arrangement, algae collection mechanism, and storage module. Solar energy is converted into electrical energy for charging the battery and powering the propulsion and algae collection mechanisms. The embedded controller coordinates movement of the floating platform and collection of floating algae, which is transferred into the onboard storage module. The system enables renewable, portable, energy-efficient, substantially autonomous algae collection.
