Abstract: SOLAR PANEL INTEGRATED CHARGING SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE A solar panel integrated charging system (300) comprising a vehicle electrical system (310) and a solar panel system (370). The vehicle electrical system (310) includes a battery (340), at least one load (350), and an electrical source (360) configured to selectively supply a source voltage to the battery (340) concurrently with a supply of output voltage by the solar panel system (370). The solar panel system (370) includes a solar panel (380) and a control unit (390) configured to control an output voltage supplied to the vehicle electrical system (310). The control unit (390) operates at a charging voltage, periodically disables the output voltage, and measures the resulting network voltage to detect an end of charge (EOC) condition of the battery (340), independently of the electrical source (360). Upon detecting the EOC condition, the control unit (390) reduces the output voltage to a floating voltage for the battery (340). FIG. 3 is the reference figure.
