MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641064126 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology Tiruchirappalli on May 21, 2026, for Solar Dc Nanogrid With Load Prioritization.

Inventors include Y. S. Abhijit; and Dr. Shajith Ali U.

The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: The present invention suggests a new concept of a Solar DC Nano Grid with Load Prioritization, which is designed for improved management of power and efficiency in small-scale solar power plants. In this invention, a photovoltaic panel is connected for generating power through solar energy. This generated power is stored in a battery and is connected to different loads through a DC bus. The controller continuously monitors different parameters and manages loads according to different priority levels. In case of less available power, less-priority loads are disconnected from the circuit. This smart management of loads is helpful for improving the efficiency of available power and preventing overload of the circuit. The proposed nano grid design minimizes power conversion losses because it is based on a DC network. This invention is helpful for improving overall efficiency and reliability of power distribution for different applications of solar energy.
