Abstract: ABSTRACT: Title: Solar Assisted Portable Air Conditioner based on Peltier Effect The present invention relates to a refrigerant-free thermoelectric portable air- conditioning system utilizing one or more Peltier thermoelectric modules configured between hot-side and cold-side heat sinks. Upon application of direct current through paired n-type and p-type semiconductor materials, a temperature differential is generated based on the Peltier effect, thereby producing simultaneous cooling and heating regions. The cold-side heat sink absorbs heat from an enclosed environment while the hot-side heat sink dissipates liberated heat externally. Optimized fin arrangements on the heat sinks increase heat transfer efficiency and improve temperature differentials across the thermoelectric modules. Blower fans are provided to uniformly distribute cooled air and enhance forced convection. The system further includes current control circuitry capable of reversing current direction to selectively provide cooling or heating functions. The invention eliminates the use of harmful gaseous refrigerants and mechanical compressors, thereby providing an environmentally friendly, compact, portable, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance air-conditioning apparatus.
