MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541029459 A) filed by Jain Deemed-To-Be University on March 27, 2025, for Soil Compacting Assistive Device.
Inventor includes Dr. Dasarathy A K.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A soil compacting assistive device, comprising an elongated body 101 with a handle 102 at the proximal end for user handling, an ultrasonic sensor detects the user’s height, the distal end is equipped with multiple inverted L-shaped extendable rods 103 for stability, a motorized wheel 104 for controlled movement over the soil, a hydraulically operated soil compacting unit 105 extends and retracts repeatedly to compact soil using an attached rectangular plate 106, a vibrating unit integrated with the plate 106 enhances soil density by reducing air voids, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 107 captures and processes images to detect objects, triggering an audio alert via a speaker 108, a moisture sensor on the plate 106 detects soil moisture levels, and if below the threshold, an electronically controlled nozzle 109 dispenses water from a chamber 110 for effective compaction.
