MUMBAI, India, Sept. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641064129 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology Tiruchirappalli on May 21, 2026, for Software To Convert Recorded Music To Readable Sheet Music.
Inventors include Purusoth K S; and Dr. R Rajasekar.
The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.
Abstract: A system and method for the early and accurate transcription of drum sounds using a two-stage deep learning approach. The invention removes percussion sounds from audio recordings using high-fidelity source separation models to remove background interference. The separated signal is then subjected to a percussion-specific neural network to identify and categorize drum sounds. The system provides high accuracy with sub-second latency, making it possible to provide real-time transcription of recorded music into standard MIDI drum notation.
