Abstract: The present invention relates to an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based enterprise employee assistance system configured to provide a unified platform for workplace knowledge retrieval, employee support, and workflow automation. The proposed system integrates a natural-language AI assistant, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise service integrations, role-based access control, workflow orchestration, and activity logging within a single workspace. The system receives natural- language requests from employees and identifies the intent of the request. For policy-related queries, relevant company documents and policies are retrieved using a RAG-based knowledge retrieval mechanism. Based on the identified intent and retrieved information, the system validates the required information and user permissions before initiating an appropriate enterprise workflow or service API. The system can support activities including company-policy search, email assistance, leave and HR requests, task management, calendar and meeting support, and notifications. The resulting action or response is presented to the employee and recorded in an activity history for traceability and auditability. The invention reduces the need for employees to switch between multiple workplace applications and provides a unified natural-language interface for accessing enterprise information and performing routine workplace activities.
