MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124126 A) filed by Dr. Seeni Mohamed Aliar Maraikkayar; Sabah Afroze; Dr. Tamil Selvi; and Dr. Parisa Beham on October 16, 2026, for Smart Wearable Device For Predicting Ovulatory Phases Using Basal Body Temperature And Physiological Signal Analysis.

Inventors include Dr. Seeni Mohamed Aliar Maraikkayar; Sabah Afroze; Dr. Tamil Selvi; and Dr. Parisa Beham.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of a sophisticated wearable apparatus (100) and corresponding methodology for dependably forecasting ovulatory phases and fertile windows are presented herein. The apparatus (100) comprises a precision-calibrated dermal temperature sensor (102) designed for systematic nocturnal basal body temperature acquisition and an optical photoplethysmographic sensor (104) engineered to record physiological markers, encompassing heart rate variability (HRV) and pulse wave dynamics. A computational unit (106) interfacing with a data storage unit (108) performs signal conditioning and characteristic extraction. A wireless transmission module (110), facilitated by an energy management unit (112), conveys the data stream to a distant computing platform (114). Through comprehensive examination of integrated thermal and autonomic physiological variations, the system delivers dependable forecasting of ovulation timing and fertile windows while mitigating erroneous predictions stemming from non-endocrine thermal anomalies.
