MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641122394 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medical And Technical Sciences on October 13, 2026, for Smart Water Quality Monitor (iot Tds).

Inventors include K. Rohith Kumar Reddy; Dr. B. Navin Kumar; and Dr Ramya Mohan.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: In this project, we are going to discuss how a Smart Water Quality Monitoring System can be developed by using IoT (TDS-based) technology for real-time water safety analysis and intelligent monitoring. Generally, traditional water qualityassessment systems are based on manual sampling and testing of water quality. These systems are not effective and are considered expensive. In addition, traditional water quality assessment systems are not effective for real-time monitoring of water quality. Such systems do not offer instant feedback and alerts during water quality testing. In addition, traditional systems are not effective in providing real-time health security against water contamination. The proposed system is based on IoT technology. In this system, a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) sensor is integrated into the system to ensure effective monitoring of water quality by measuring the impurities dissolved in the water. The system is able to process data effectively and ensure instant alerts and notifications are sent when the quality of water exceeds the safe level.
