MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641111380 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology Tiruchirappalli on September 17, 2026, for Smart Water Quality Detector With Ai Classification.
Inventors include Joshua Praghajeeth A. P; and Dr. B. Rosaline Kavitha.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: This invention introduces a Smart Water Quality Detector that uses IoT sensors and AI classification to monitor water in real time, at a low cost, and on the go. Sensors connected to an ESP32 microcontroller measure pH, turbidity, temperature, and TDS in the system. A trained AI model looks at the data and classifies the water as Safe, Moderate, or Contaminated with 96.8% accuracy. You can see the results on your computer or in the cloud, where you can also get alerts and keep an eye on things from afar. The design is modular and uses little power, so it can be scaled up and upgraded in the future to include features like heavy metal detection and predictive deep learning for predicting contamination.
