Abstract: The present invention provides a Smart Water Quality Anomaly Detection System for real-time monitoring of water contamination. The system uses pH, turbidity, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, temperature, and TDS sensors to collect water quality signals from monitored sources. These signals are processed using a novel integral transform-based preprocessing framework that enhances contamination-related characteristics while reducing sensor noise, environmental disturbances, communication interference, and irregular fluctuations. The processed signals undergo feature extraction and intelligent anomaly detection using machine learning, neural networks, and edge-AI techniques to identify abnormal water quality conditions and pollution events in real time. Wireless communication and an IoT-based alert system transmit monitoring information and alerts to authorized users and cloud monitoring centers. The invention improves anomaly detection accuracy, reduces false alarms, minimizes computational and power requirements, and enables lightweight, scalable, real-time deployment for smart water infrastructure and intelligent environmental water surveillance.
