Abstract: ABSTRACT Water is one of the most vital resources for domestic consumption and effective water 5 management in residential buildings has become more crucial as urbanization and water demand increase. In most residential setups, water is managed using a combination of borewell motors, sump tanks, and overhead tanks to ensure continuous water availability. These systems have historically relied on human involvement to operate, with users turning motors on and off in response to their observations of water levels. Despite being commonly used, this method 10 frequently results in inefficient water usage, unnecessary power consumption, and inconvenience to users. The necessity for automated water management systems has increased dramatically over time in order to decrease manual labour and boost productivity. Despite the availability of basic water level controllers, current systems have a number of drawbacks and practical difficulties. These include the need for separate controllers for sump 15 and borewell motors, dependence on wired sensors that are prone to failure, and a lack of flexibility in managing various water source configurations. Furthermore, the majority of traditional systems lack analytics, real-time monitoring, and flexibility to accommodate various household configurations. As a result, consumers often deal with problems like water overflow, motors running dry, higher maintenance expenses, and inefficient utilization of water 20 resources. The absence of a unified and intelligent system that can manage multiple water sources at ease further complicates the operation of domestic water supply systems. In order to overcome these difficulties, the current invention offers a smart water automation system that uses a single intelligent module to automatically operate and monitor sump and borewell motors. The system consists of a wireless battery-powered transmitter device located 25 at an above tank to sense water levels and a receiver or master control unit with a microcontroller, relay interfaces, and optional Internet of Things communication capabilities. In order to provide autonomous control of motor operations based on current conditions and user-defined settings, the transmitter unit continuously checks water levels and transmits the data to the receiver unit via a wireless link. 30 - N u The system provides flexibility by supporting multiple operating modes including sump-only, borewell-only, and combined configurations, and further enables centralized control of water distribution between multiple overhead tanks and multiple bottom tanks through a single intelligent motor control module. The system further monitors electrical parameters including 35 current and power consumption to detect dry-run, overload, and overcun-ent conditions, and automatically disconnects the motor to prevent damage. Additionally, the system records motor operating duration and energy consumption, enabling users to monitor electricity usage and estimate the energy consumed by the connected motors. Thus, this concept offers a dependable, effective, and user-friendly solution for contemporary 40 domestic water management by combining automation, wireless sensing, and intelligent control. This greatly reduces Water wastage, avoids motor damage, and improves overall ease. f
