Abstract: The Smart Vision Aid is an AI-enabled clip-on camera designed to notably increase walking safety for visually impaired people, elders, and disabled persons. The device attaches easily to any walking aid and uses a small front-facing camera to continuously monitor the environment. Through advanced onboard Al, the system can analyse objects, depth, movement, and terrain patterns in real time. Whenever a potential risk, such as an unexpected step, a downward slope, an uneven surface, a static barrier, a moving person, or a fast-approaching object, is identified, the device instantly transmits a Bluetooth audio alert directly to a wireless earbud worn by the user. Unlike traditional vibration-based smart canes, which can be vague, confusing, or physically difficult to perceive, the Smart Vision Aid provides natural spoken guidance and context-rich audio cues. This makes it easier for users to understand exactly what obstacle is ahead and how to respond. With its compact design, universal clip mechanism, long-lasting battery, and user-friendly operation, the Smart Vision Aid provides an accessible and transformative tool for safe, confident, and independent walking.
