Abstract: The present invention introduces an intelligent GPS-integrated dual horn control system for automobiles that automatically regulates horn sound intensity based on real-time traffic zones to combat urban noise pollution. This innovative system replaces the conventional single fixed-intensity horn with a dual-horn setup comprising a low-decibel horn suited for congested areas and a high- decibel horn for open roads. By leveraging GPS data processed through the vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU), the system intelligently activates the appropriate horn without requiring driver intervention, thereby minimizing unnecessary loud honking in high-traffic urban environments while preserving essential safety warnings on highways. Extensive conceptual validation and operational analysis demonstrate significant reductions in noise pollution, improved driver and pedestrian comfort, and enhanced road discipline. The technology offers a practical, cost-effective, and sustainable solution for modern vehicles, contributing to quieter cities and better public health outcomes in densely populated regions.
