Abstract: The present invention discloses a smart variable rate fertilizer application system (100) for precision agriculture. The system (100) comprises a multi-parameter soil sensing module (110) for real-time acquisition of soil nutrient levels, moisture, pH, and electrical conductivity; a GPS-based field mapping module (120) for geo- referenced zone delineation; a central processing and control unit (130) integrating a machine learning inference engine (136) to compute site-specific fertilizer prescriptions; a variable rate dispensing mechanism (140) with motorized actuators (142) and flow control valves (144) for precise fertilizer delivery; a communication module (150) employing IoT protocols for bidirectional data transmission to a cloud server; a weather monitoring module (180) for environmental parameter integration; and a user interface module (160) providing real-time visualization via mobile and web platforms. The system (100) dynamically adjusts fertilizer application rates based on spatially variable soil conditions and weather data, thereby optimizing nutrient use efficiency and enhancing crop productivity.
