Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart trolley for supermarkets and retail stores that simplifies shopping through automatic product identification and billing. The system comprises an RFID reader, an Arduino Uno microcontroller, RFID-tagged products, an OLED display, an ultrasonic sensor, infrared sensors, a motor driver, and DC motors. When a product is placed in the trolley, the RFID reader identifies 120 the product and sends the information to the controller, which calculates the total purchase amount and displays it on the OLED screen in real time. The bill is automatically updated whenever products are added or removed. The trolley is further equipped with ultrasonic and infrared sensors that enable it to follow the customer during shopping, reducing the effort required to push the trolley 125 manually. The proposed system shortens billing time, reduces checkout congestion, improves billing accuracy, and provides a convenient and efficient shopping experience. The invention is suitable for deployment in supermarkets, shopping malls, and other retail environments.
