Abstract: The present invention discloses a Smart Traffic Communication System designed to improve traffic management, road safety, emergency response, and transportation efficiency through real-time communication among vehicles, traffic signals, roadside infrastructure, and traffic management centers. The system comprises traffic sensing units, communication modules, roadside units, traffic signal controllers, and a traffic management platform configured to collect, transmit, process, and analyze traffic-related information. The sensing units continuously monitor parameters including vehicle density, vehicle speed, lane occupancy, congestion level, queue length, road conditions, and abnormal traffic events. Based on the collected information, the system dynamically adjusts traffic signal timing to regulate traffic flow and reduce unnecessary waiting time at intersections. The system further enables vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication for transmitting congestion alerts, accident notifications, signal information, road hazard warnings, and alternative route guidance. An emergency vehicle priority mechanism identifies authorized emergency vehicles and coordinates traffic signals to provide preferential passage through congested intersections. The traffic management platform monitors multiple road locations, identifies traffic abnormalities, and supports coordinated decision-making in real time. The proposed system may employ wireless communication, cellular networks, Internet of Things technologies, or other suitable communication mechanisms for efficient data exchange. By integrating intelligent sensing, communication, adaptive signal control, emergency vehicle prioritization, and centralized monitoring, the invention provides a scalable and responsive traffic communication framework suitable for urban roads, highways, intersections, and smart-city transportation environments, thereby enhancing mobility, safety, traffic flow, and overall transportation system performance.
