The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The Smart Automated Tissue Paper Dispenser with Touchless Control and Usage Monitoring is an intelligent hygiene device designed to improve cleanliness, reduce waste, and enhance user convenience in public and private environments. Traditional tissue dispensers require physical contact and lack control over tissue usage, leading to hygiene concerns, excessive consumption, and maintenance inefficiencies. The proposed system overcomes these limitations by integrating sensorbased automation, controlled dispensing, and real-time usage monitoring The device utilizes proximity or infrared sensors to detect the presence of a user's hand and automatically dispense a predefined length of tissue paper without physical contact. An embedded microcontroller processes sensor inputs and controls a motorized dispensing mechanism to ensure consistent and optimal tissue output. Optional usage counters and indicator alerts notify maintenance staff when tissue levels are low or when abnormal usage patterns are detected. The dispenser is designed with a compact, enclosed structure using durable and hygienic materials suitable for restrooms, hospitals, offices, and public facilities. Low-power operation ensures energy efficiency, while touchless functionality minimizes cross-contamination and enhances user safety. The smart tissue paper dispenser improves hygiene standards, reduces paper wastage, and simplifies maintenance operations, representing a significant advancement in smart sanitation and automated hygiene systems.
