MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110387 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 14, 2026, for Smart Sunlight Regulator System.

Inventors include Vijay Mohan Shrimal; Deven; Rishabh Verma; and Divya Verma.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart Sunlight Regulator System configured to dynamically regulate natural and artificial light exposure based on environmental and user-specific conditions. The system comprises ultraviolet (UV) and visible-light sensors, a skin 5 sensing unit, an AI-enabled control and processing unit, an adaptive light-filtering layer, and an adaptive light-emitting layer. The sensors continuously detect UV intensity, visible-light conditions, and user-related parameters, while the control unit processes the detected information to determine an appropriate light regulation condition. The adaptive filtering layer selectively modifies light transmission, while a micro-LED based light-emitting layer 10 provides controlled supplementary illumination having selected intensity and spectral characteristics. The system further supports circadian-responsive light modulation, wireless connectivity, exposure monitoring, and personalized light-management profiles. The invention may be implemented in wearable or stationary configurations, thereby providing an integrated platform for adaptive UV management, illumination control, and personalized 15 sunlight regulation.
