Abstract: ABSTRACT SMART STREET-LEVEL PUBLIC WI-FI SYSTEM WITH DYNAMIC BANDWIDTH ALLOCATION AND CONTENT FILTERING A smart street-level public Wi-Fi management system (100) for smart city deployments comprising an IoT access point layer (110) with access point units (112) transmitting per-user and aggregate utilisation data, a bandwidth allocation engine (120) with a fairness-weighted proportional sharing module (122) computing dynamic per-user bandwidth limits based on active user count and aggregate capacity, a bandwidth redistribution module (126) redistributing unused allocation from inactive users to active users, a content filtering module (130) applying automatically updated block lists for regulatory compliance, a cloud management platform (140) with usage analytics engine (142), peak demand recorder (144), and filter event logger (146), and an operator dashboard (150) providing real-time display, historical reports, and alert notifications. The system addresses static bandwidth cap and manual filter management limitations of conventional public Wi-Fi systems. [
