Inventors include Ms. Sania Ranjit Bachal; Mr. Aditya Pravin Magar; and Mr. Pradip Dnyaneshwar Bhambure.
The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SMART SOLAR-POWERED BOAT SYSTEM FOR WATER WASTE MANAGEMENT The present invention relates to a smart solar-powered boat system (100) for collecting floating waste, debris, and trimming surface aquatic weeds from rivers, canals, and other freshwater bodies. The system comprises of a lightweight corrosion-resistant hull (101) designed for stability and operation in shallow, narrow, and flowing freshwater bodies; photovoltaic solar panels (102) for generating electrical energy, rechargeable batteries for energy storage, propulsion module (103), conveyor or scoop-based waste collection unit (104) that transfers collected waste into an onboard storage unit (105); control and navigation module (106) with ultrasonic sensors (106 a) and detachable buoyancy-regulated weed trimming module (107) for maintaining a constant cutting height relative to the water surface independent of the boat’s pitch, roll, or wave motion. The invention provides an efficient, eco-friendly, low-maintenance, and zero-fuel solution for continuous surface cleaning of water bodies with minimum human intervention.
