Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart Soil Monitoring System for Flood Affected Farms that helps farmers analyze and improve soil conditions after flood situations. Flood water can significantly affect soil quality by changing moisture levels, nutrient content, and fertility, which leads to reduced crop growth. The proposed system uses soil monitoring sensors, including NPK sensors, to measure essential soil nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium along with parameters like soil moisture and other soil conditions. A microcontroller-based unit collects and processes the sensor data to identify the health status of the soil and provide suitable recommendations for soil recovery. The system enables real-time monitoring of nutrient loss and excess moisture in flood-affected fields, helping farmers take timely actions such as applying fertilizers, improving drainage, and restoring soil fertility. This cost- effective and user-friendly system supports smart farming practices by reducing crop losses and improving the productivity of affected agricultural lands. Dated
