The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart self-leveling survey tripod configured to provide automatic precision leveling, enhanced stability, vibration isolation, remote monitoring, and extended autonomous field operation for surveying instruments. The tripod comprises an instrument mounting plate with a standard threaded interface and anti-rotation locking mechanism, a top housing incorporating an embedded microcontroller-based control unit, three telescopic support legs having manual coarse adjustment and motorized fine adjustment actuators, a central hub, a tilt and vibration sensor module, a multi-stage vibration damping system, a rechargeable lithium- ion battery, a solar charging panel with maximum power point tracking (MPPT), status indicator LEDs, a wireless Bluetooth Low Energy communication module, and interchangeable terrain-specific foot assemblies including spike, rubber pad, and hybrid configurations. The control unit executes a closed-loop PID-based leveling algorithm using real-time data from a 9-DoF inertial measurement unit to independently actuate each leg and maintain the mounted surveying instrument within a predetermined leveling tolerance while continuously compensating for ground movement, vibration, thermal effects, and dynamic disturbances. The wireless communication module enables real-time monitoring, remote control, firmware updates, session logging, and integration with surveying software through a companion mobile application. The combined structural, sensing, control, power management, vibration isolation, and terrain-adaptive features provide improved leveling accuracy, operational reliability, safety, and efficiency for professional surveying applications under diverse environmental and terrain conditions.
