Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a Smart Safety Locker System for Train Passengers with Biometric and QR Code Authentication for securing passenger belongings during train travel. The system comprises a locker unit installed below a passenger seat, a microcontroller unit, a QR code scanner, a fingerprint sensor, an electronic locking mechanism, a display unit, and a power supply unit. Access to the locker is granted only after successful verification of the passenger’s train ticket through QR code scanning and biometric authentication using fingerprint verification. The locker remains locked by default and unauthorized access attempts are automatically denied. The invention establishes a direct linkage between railway ticket identity and physical locker access, thereby preventing theft, unauthorized access, and luggage misplacement while improving passenger safety, convenience, and trust during train journeys.
