Abstract: Abstract The smart safety barriers for increased crowd management and accident avoidance using an loT system are intended to improve public safety by monitoring crowd circumstances and identifying possible risks in real time. The system includes a PIC 18F4550 microcontroller and several sensors, 5 including an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, an HC-SR50 I PIR motion sensor, an FSR402 pressure sensor, and a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor. These sensors continually capture data on crowd density, mobility, pressure on barriers, and ambient variables. Them icrocontroller analyses the acquired data to identify anomalous circumstances such as congestion, unauthorised entry, excessive force on barriers, or unfavourable environmental conditions. The NRF52832 Bluetooth 10 Low Energy module wirelessly transmits sensor data to monitoring devices for remote oversight. When harmful situations are discovered, notifications are provided to facilitate speedy decisionmaking and response. The suggested system offers a low-cost and dependable alternative for crowd control at railway stations, airports, stadiums, retail malls, industrial locations, and public events. The technology increases crowd control efficiency by allowing for continuous monitoring 15 and real-time communication.
