Inventors include M. Liaqat Ali Khan; Dr. Nidhi Mishra; Dr. Mohammed Abdul Bari; and Dr. Altaf C.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an offline-first edge AI framework for remote patient monitoring in rural and resource-constrained environments. Wearable sensor nodes collect multivariate physiological signals and perform local anomaly detection using an 8-bit quantized hybrid CNN-LSTM model without requiring internet connectivity. Edge aggregation nodes coordinate privacy-preserving federated learning using homomorphic encryption, monitor model performance using ADWIN concept-drift detection, and maintain tamper-evident clinical event records using a Proof-of-Authority blockchain. Emergency alerts are propagated through an ESP- NOW peer-to-peer mesh network without Wi-Fi or cellular infrastructure. The framework combines physiological sensing, on-device inference, encrypted collaborative learning, adaptive model retraining, blockchain auditing and infrastructure-independent alert communication in a coordinated system. The invention is intended for non- diagnostic remote monitoring, community health programs,
