Abstract: SMART PRESSURE ULCER PREVENTION MATTRESS SYSTEM Abstract The present invention relates to a Smart Pressure Ulcer Prevention Mattress System (100) designed for continuous monitoring and prevention of pressure ulcers in bedridden patients. The system comprises a pressure sensor array (101), temperature and humidity sensor (102), microcontroller and control unit (103), driver circuit (104), actuators (105), and air cells or inflatable chambers (106) integrated within a mattress. The pressure sensor array (101) continuously detects pressure distribution, while environmental conditions are monitored using the temperature and humidity sensor (102). The microcontroller and control unit (103) processes sensed data and generates control signals through the driver circuit (104) to operate actuators (105), enabling selective inflation or deflation of air cells (106) for dynamic pressure redistribution. The system further includes a communication module (113), cloud platform (110), mobile/web interface (111), caregiver alerts system (114), user interface unit (109), and power system (107, 108), providing real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and closed-loop automated pressure management.
