Abstract: The increasing pollution of swimming pools due to floating debris such as leaves, dust, insects, and plastic waste demands efficient and automated cleaning solutions. This project presents the design and implementation of a mobile-controlled Pool Surface Cleaning Robot capable of navigating across the water surface and removing floating contaminants. The system utilizes an Arduino-based embedded controller and a mobile application for wireless control, allowing the operator to manually guide the robot across the pool. The robot uses DC motors with propellers for propulsion, while ultrasonic sensors assist in detecting nearby obstacles and preventing collisions. A high-speed suction mechanism combined with a mesh filter basket is used to collect floating debris effectively from the water surface. The robot is designed with a lightweight floating structure using foam-based buoyancy elements, ensuring stable operation and smooth movement on water. A rechargeable battery system with voltage regulation provides reliable and energy-efficient power supply. The mobile interface allows the user to control the robot's movement such as forward, backward, left, and right, enabling flexible cleaning of different areas of the pool.
