Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a smart parking reservation system for efficient management of parking facilities using Internet of Things (IoT) technology and real-time occupancy monitoring. The system comprises a plurality of parking-space occupancy sensors, a wireless communication network, a central processing server, a reservation management engine, a parking database, and a user interface application. The occupancy sensors continuously detect the status of parking spaces and transmit occupancy data to the central server, which updates parking availability information in real time. Users can access the system through a mobile or web application to view available parking spaces and reserve parking slots in advance. The system further validates reservations, manages parking occupancy, and automatically releases unutilized reservations after a predefined period. The invention reduces parking search time, traffic congestion, fuel consumption, and environmental pollution while improving parking-space utilization and user convenience in smart-city and commercial parking environments.
