The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: Oral cancer is a serious health condition, and finding suspicious changes at an early stage can help patients receive proper medical attention sooner. However, conventional screening usually depends on examination by trained healthcare professionals, which may not always be easily available, especially in areas with limited healthcare facilities. To help address this problem, the proposed Smart Oral Cancer Screening Device Using Al uses Artificial Intelligence and image processing to support the preliminary screening of oral cancer. The proposed device uses a camera and suitable lighting system to capture clear images of the inside of the mouth. These images are then processed and analyzed using an AI-based model to identify unusual patterns or suspicious lesions. Based on the analysis, the system can provide a simple preliminary result indicating whether the area appears normal or may need further medical examination. The device is designed to be portable, non-invasive, easy to use, and affordable, making it suitable for preliminary screening in clinics, health camps, and areas where specialist facilities may be limited. The system can also help healthcare professionals by providing an additional reference during the initial screening process. Overall, this project aims to use AT and biomedical imaging technology to make oral cancer screening easier and more accessible. The device is intended only for preliminary screening, and any suspicious result should be followed by proper examination and diagnosis by a qualified healthcare professional.
