Abstract: The present invention relates to a Smart Medicine Storage Box with Reminder Mechanism for organizing medicines and providing timely reminders according to predetermined medication schedules. The system comprises a plurality of medicine storage compartments, a control and processing unit, a timekeeping unit, a reminder mechanism, and a power supply unit. Each storage compartment can be associated with a particular medicine or medication schedule. The control unit receives current time information from the timekeeping unit and compares the current time with stored medication schedules. When a scheduled medication time is reached, the control unit activates an appropriate reminder mechanism comprising one or more of an audible buzzer, LED indicator, display, vibration mechanism, or electronic notification. A compartment detection unit can optionally detect opening of the corresponding medicine compartment after a reminder has been generated and can provide the detected information to the control unit for recording or reminder deactivation. The system may further incorporate wireless communication for transmitting reminder status and unattended-reminder notifications to an authorized mobile device or remote monitoring platform. An optional quantity monitoring mechanism can provide medicine refill notifications based on the estimated quantity remaining in a compartment. The proposed invention provides an organized and automated medicine storage and reminder solution that reduces dependence on memory, improves medicine identification and scheduling, and enables optional monitoring of medication- related events.
