Abstract: A smart meal analysis system (100) is designed to evaluate food items placed on an intelligent deck (102), which supports plates, trays, bowls, or containers. Integrated load cell sensors (104) measure the aggregate food weight, while a camera module (106) captures image data and a depth sensing module (108) provides volumetric information. An embedded processing unit (110) synchronizes these inputs to detect boundaries, identify food regions, estimate occupancy areas, reconstruct food geometry, and disaggregate food mass using density models. It further recognizes food items, evaluates portion sizes, and generates nutritional values. A processing circuitry (110A) executes AI-based software for recognition, analysis, and monitoring. A display screen (112) shows results, while a communication interface (114) enables synchronization with on-board storage (116) and a cloud platform (118) for meal analytics and portable access. Additionally, a user interface (120) allows interaction, displaying food data, receiving user inputs for personalized tracking and nutritional monitoring.
