Abstract: An intelligent and portable IoT-based system is developed for enhancing the safety and efficiency of domestic gas stoves. The proposed device integrates multiple sensors, including an MQ-2 gas sensor for leakage detection, a flame sensor for burner monitoring, a DS18B20 temperature sensor for thermal supervision, and a load cell with HX711 amplifier for cylinder weight measurement. These sensors interface with an Arduino Uno microcontroller, which performs real-time data acquisition, filtering, and threshold-based analysis. Safety logic is implemented to automatically shut off the solenoid valve and trigger buzzer and LED alerts in case of gas leakage, flame failure, or abnormal temperature rise. Cylinder weight data is further analyzed using predictive algorithms to estimate remaining usage duration and provide run-out alerts. An ESP8266 Wi-Fi module enables wireless communication with a mobile application or web dashboard, allowing users to monitor stove status and cylinder levels remotely. Compact, cost-effective, and energy-efficient, the system demonstrates practical IoT integration, predictive monitoring, and layered safety mechanisms, making it suitable for household applications and smart home environments.
