Abstract: Biometric verification, automated administration, and user engagement are highly critical in modern e-learning platforms to ensure security, prevent academic fraud, and maximize student learning outcomes. This project develops an integrated, multi-layered web-based smart learning platform that utilizes a real-time facial recognition verification module alongside interactive engagement features to authenticate users and manage their progress. Real-time biometric authentication is achieved by capturing live webcam feeds and processing facial features using the DLIB algorithm and OpenCV, which matches facial embeddings to verify identity, prevent proxy logins, and automatically log daily attendance. To actively combat continuous video-viewing fatigue and reduce cognitive load, the platform integrates a dynamic relaxation module featuring a general knowledge quiz, puzzle games, and guided relaxation exercises. The platform also manages video courses, tracks user progress, and administers timed multiple-choice assessments that automatically evaluate understanding and dynamically map specific learning weaknesses for targeted revision. Once course requirements are validated, an automated certification engine instantly generates and issues a downloadable digital certificate of completion showing the student's name, course, and attendance percentage. The evaluation of this system demonstrates robust performance enhancements in authentication security and user retention compared to traditional, static online learning methods. Far from just substantially improving academic integrity, this automated educational platform also radically lowers administrative overhead and manual processing time, making it a highly promising solution for modern, resource-efficient remote education.
